The Barcelona-based company, founded in 1984, has recently opened large stores in Los Angeles, Manchester, and Bengaluru, contributing to a total of 115 new stores in the past year. This growth, particularly strong in the US where their stores tripled, is expected to push their 2023 sales to a record-breaking €3 billion.
Mango’s success is attributed to its ability to adapt to fast-changing trends while offering competitive prices. Unlike rival Inditex (owner of Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear), Mango focuses on a single brand and outsources production to maintain affordability.
The company plans to unveil its strategic plan soon, which includes ambitious international expansion with 500 new stores targeted by 2026. These stores will primarily be located in the US, UK, and France, solidifying Mango’s position as a major player in the global fashion scene. This growth stands out against the backdrop of struggles faced by other retailers like Gap and Camaieu.
