Several shops announced the formation of a new group to combat racism and bigotry in stores on Wednesday.

The group brings together 28 U.S. businesses, including Sephora, J.Crew Group, Gap, and Crocs, to sign a pledge to make shopping more inviting for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color consumers.

“We believe Sephora is in a position to influence the retail industry,” said George-Axelle Broussillon Matschinga, VP of diversity and inclusion at Sephora.
